Terms & Conditions

Please read these Creator Studio Terms & Conditions carefully. By creating a Creator account or using Creator Studio, you agree to these terms.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Codedevpay Academy Creator Studio. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using our website and any related apps. The Service lets tutors create, manage, and sell online courses to students/learners.

By creating an account or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Your Account

  • Keep your login details private. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • Give us accurate, current information when you sign up, and keep it updated.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that use false information, or usernames that impersonate someone else or are offensive or misleading.

3. Course Creators: Your Content and Responsibilities

  • You keep ownership of the courses and content you upload. You are not selling your intellectual property to us.
  • By uploading Content, you give us permission to host, display, and deliver it to Students who buy your course, and to use it to promote your course on the Platform.
  • You confirm that you own your Content, have the right to give it out for free or sell it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of your courses, however the course publication can be pending if the quality of the video or sound is very bad.
  • You must accurately describe your course, its price, and what Students will receive.

4. Payments and Fees

  • Students pay for courses through payment methods supported on the Platform. Outside transactions are prohibited.
  • Once a Student completes a purchase, the transaction is completed and Creators can monitor that at the Earning section on the platform.
  • A platform fee of 8% commission per payout is charged for the Service excluding transfer charges during the payout period. Transfer charges will be based on the medium used to accept the payout.

5. Payouts to Course Creators

  • Course Creators can request a payout of money they've earned at any time.
  • Payout requests are made on the platform and can be processed within 5–7 working days.
  • We may hold or delay a payout if we suspect fraud, a payment dispute, or a breach of these Terms.
  • Where currency conversion applies, the rate used is set at our discretion based on prevailing market rates at the time of payout.

6. Identity Verification (KYC)

Before releasing payouts, we may ask you to verify your identity. This can include a valid ID, proof of address, and bank account details. You agree that we can share this information with identity-verification services and, where legally required, with government or regulatory bodies.

7. Refunds

There will be no refund for subscription or course payment after successful transaction.

8. Subscription Plans

  • You'll be billed automatically at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, depending on your plan) until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
  • We'll give reasonable notice before changing subscription prices. Continuing to use the Service after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.

9. Code of Conduct

To keep the Platform safe and fair, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Send spam or unsolicited marketing messages to other users.
  • Collect personal information about other users without permission.
  • Impersonate another person, business, or our team.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or extract data from the Service without our permission.
  • Post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful to minors.
  • Try to disrupt, overload, or hack the Service.

Breaking this Code of Conduct can lead to content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, at our discretion.

10. Intellectual Property

Aside from Course Creator Content, everything else on the Service, including our name, logo, and design, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or use our branding without written permission.

11. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, contact us at academy@codedevpay.com with:

  • Your contact details.
  • A description of the copyrighted work.
  • The location (URL) of the material you believe infringes it.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your claim is accurate.

We'll review valid claims and may remove the reported content.

12. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be error-free, or uninterrupted.

However, users can notify us at academy@codedevpay.com if there are any glitches on the platform. We are not responsible for fraudulent or failed transactions between users, though we may share transaction details with authorities if needed for an investigation.

14. Suspending or Ending Accounts

We may suspend or close your account at any time, with a notice, if you break these Terms. You may also close your own account at any time.

If your account is closed, pending payouts will be handled according to our standard payout process, and Students may lose access to paid content tied to that account.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
